Is it Spring Yet?

Date-Nut Scones with Apple Butter
Although the calendar says it's Spring, it still feels a little like winter on Maxwell Creek. However, that did not seem to stop my guest fishermen from standing out there on the creek in near blizzard like conditions last weekend. They hooked more than eleven steel-head in one day and had a BLAST!  You know what they say? ..... Even a bad day at fishing is better than a good day at work!   I think they come here just to watch the clouds go by and unwind. It's their "man" get-away. We served homemade Date-nut Scones with Apple Butter and Gingerbread pancakes with fresh strawberries and real whipped cream and real maple syrup.

Finally the snow and ice is just about all gone on Maxwell Creek.  Signs of spring are beginning to pop out of the ground all over. I'm  hoping we can put the snow shovels away and bring out the rakes by next week. The daffodils are poking their heads out of the ground and soon the flowers will appear. A sure sign that spring is really here on Maxwell Creek.
