Guest Cottage

Situated on a 1/4 mile of Maxwell Creek shoreline and Maxwell Bay overlooking Lake Ontario. Our Guest Cottage is designed for Extended Stay Guests or can be rented by the week or month.

 Perfect for guests temporarily working in the area or visiting the sites with family or friends.  Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The Cottage is set up with two separate efficiency suites with private entrances, private baths, and kitchenettes equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and dishes. TV and A/C are also included. Picnic table and a gas grill are available for guest use.
    • These accommodations do not include breakfast. 
    •  A $250 security deposit is required for Extended Stays of one week or more. Security deposits are returned  within two days from departure if no damage has occurred.

The Loft of this private Guest Cottage offers a private entrance into a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, coffeepot, and kitchen utensils. Guest sleep in a big open loft with a cathedral ceiling, private bath, five single beds, sitting area in front of the enormous brick fireplace, TV, AC and dining area. Outdoor grill and picnic tables available for guest use. Sleeps 5 maximum.  Breakfast not included.  $325 / 5 guest per night plus $75 cleaning fee. Minimum 3 night stay.

LOFT of Guest Cottage


The Willis T. Gaylord Suite is on the ground level of The Guest Cottage and is complete with private bath, combination sitting area and kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, kitchen utensils, sofa, and four twin beds in a separate room.  TV and A/C, shared outdoor grill and picnic table available for guest use. Sleeps 4 maximum. Breakfast is not included. $220 per night plus $75 cleaning fee.  Minimum 3 night stay.

 Check-In and Check-Out
  • Check-in is between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Please make prior arrangements if you are unable to arrive during this time. Earlier check-in is welcomed when prior arrangements are made.
  • Check-out by 11:00 a.m.
  • Minimum 3 night stay.
If cancellation is necessary, please give us the courtesy of a call.
  • There is a 14-day cancellation period; otherwise, refund of your deposit is contingent upon our ability to re-book the room. Sorry, there are no refunds for late arrivals or early departures.
  • There is a 30-day cancellation period for holidays and special events.
  • IF you become ill or have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus we ask that you respectfully cancel your reservations by calling.  Your deposit will be refunded for this reason.
  • We do not provide your personal toiletries. (soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, etc.)
  • Included:
    • Bedding, bath towels, toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towel, dish soap. 
  • We expect our guest to wash dishes and put away before departing.
  • We expect our guest to gather all garbage and recycling and place in appropriate bins before departing.
  • We expect your accommodations to be broom swept before departing.
  • We are a NO SMOKING facility. For safety purposes, smoking is permitted outside only.
  • We expect our guests to dispose their tobacco refuse in an appropriate manner.
  • Guests ignoring our NO SMOKING policy will be asked to leave.
  • A $300 cleaning charge will be collected before departing.
Pet Policy
  • Out of consideration to other guests that may have allergies, we are unable accept furry four-legged family members at this time. Preston, our standard poodle, and Lucky, our miniature poodle, are not allowed in guests’ quarters or common guests areas and will only be introduced to you upon request.
  • If you wish to travel with your pet, we can recommend a wonderful kennel 3 miles down the street to board your furry family member, where you can include them for your day hike or scenic drive. Please call us for more information. We will be happy to help you with these arrangements.
